How to Start ASM Instance if it Fails With ORA-01078 (Doc ID 1326491.1)

Starting  ASM instance fails with the below  errors. One cause for this can be a corrupted ASM spfile.


SQL> startup
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
ORA-29701: unable to connect to Cluster Synchronization Service


Purpose of this document  is to reconstruct a valid (s)pfile in order to start  ASM instance.
