Uninstalling the Oracle Data Provider for .NET Removes all Assemblies of the same Version from the GAC Regardless of Processor Architecture

(Doc ID 1326720.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 18, 2011

Applies to:

Oracle Data Provider for .NET - Version: and later   [Release: 11.2 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Uninstalling the Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP) removes all assemblies for the same version regardless of processor architecture. For example, uninstalling the provider from a 64-bit home on Windows when a 32-bit home of the same version is installed side by side will result in the x86 assembly also being removed from the GAC.

Installed the same 64 and 32-bit ODP versions side by side on Windows 64-bit.
