Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2011

Applies to:

Oracle Providers for ASP.NET - Version: 11.2.0.1 and later   [Release: 11.2 and later ]
Microsoft Windows (32-bit)
Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)

Goal

Are there any specific reason(s) why RAW, NVARCHAR2, NCLOB datatypes are used in Oracle Providers for ASP.NET Objects/tables?  Can I change the datatypes to VARCHAR2, instead? Any negative impact for changing the datatypes to VARCHAR2?
