Symptoms
An intermittent hang occurs ever two or three days with thread dead-locks. Once the thread dead-locks, the client applications simply stays in idle state indefinitely, which prevents the other scheduled tasks (which are waiting for it to exit) from being completed as well. The only way to stop it is to terminate the process manually.
