Symptoms


Using Oracle Procedural Gateway for MQ (PG4MQ) or Database Gateway for MQ (DG4MQ) running on an AIX 6.1 64 bit platform, the following error occurs when running Oracle sample test.sql script -

ORA-29400: data cartridge error
MQI MQOPEN failed. completion code=2, reason
code=2085

 

Note error message MQI MQOPEN failed. completion code=2, reason code=2085 
is being returned back from the MQ Server not the gateway. This is an MQ Server error message.
