SDO_UTIL.INITIALIZE_INDEXES_FOR_TTS changed behavior in 10.2.0.5 (Doc ID 1342566.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 14, 2011

Applies to:

Oracle Spatial - Version: 10.2.0.5 and later   [Release: 10.2 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Since upgrading to 10.2.0.5, running SDO_UTIL.INITIALIZE_INDEXES_FOR_TTS on the TARGET database fails with an error:

SQL> exec SDO_UTIL.INITIALIZE_INDEXES_FOR_TTS;
BEGIN SDO_UTIL.INITIALIZE_INDEXES_FOR_TTS; END;
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_UTIL", line 1168
ORA-06512: at line 1

Changes

Since the fix for the unpublished bug.7487294 was implemented, running SDO_UTIL.PREPARE_FOR_TTS('<tablespace_name>') on the SOURCE database no longer creates the table <schema>.SDO_INDEX_TTS_METADATA$ if there are no spatial indexes in the tablespace that will be exported through transportable tablespace.
