System Hangs: Kkssearchchildlist4 Found In Trace File (Doc ID 1346820.1)

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 10.2.0.3 and later
IBM z/OS on System z

Symptoms

You are running a 10.2.0.3 database on z/OS which is hung and will not accept requests.

You see the following messages in the alertlog:

ORA-00603: ORACLE server session terminated by fatal error
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-44203: timeout waiting for lock on cursor

 

The system been dumping trace files as well and the call stack trace contains the following:

ksedst <- kksSearchChildList <- kksfbc <- kkspsc0 <- kksParseCursor <- opiosq0 <- opiosq <- opiodr <- ttcpip
<- opitsk <- opiino <- opiodr <- opidrv <- sou2o <- opimai_real <- main
