Symptoms


While selecting from DB2 using Database Gateway for DRDA (DG4DRDA also known as DG4DB2) 11.2 running on Windows the following error is returned -

SQL> select * from aa.table@db2link;
select * from aa.table@db2link
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
ORA-28542: Error in reading HS init-file
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from DB2LINK

Changes

The IFILE parameter is set in the DG4DRDA init<sid>.ora file installed on Windows
