Clone.pl Failed With "You Do Not Have Sufficient Permissions To Access The Inventory" And "Permission Denied" Error (Doc ID 1352068.1)

Symptoms


While attempting to execute $ORACLE_HOME/clone/bin/clone.pl, the following message displayed:


"You do not have sufficient permissions to access the inventory '/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory'.
Installation cannot continue. Make sure that you have read/write permissions to the inventory directory and restart the installer.: Permission denied"


NOTE : /u01/app/oracle/oraInventory is an example for the location of Central inventory(oraInventory) in the above message
