Goal

When using the Database Gateway for ODBC  (DG4ODBC) with a database link to connect to a MySQL database where the isolation mode is set to REPEATABLE_READ then Oracle doesn't appear support that isolation mode.
ORA-28500 errors are returned when running specific statements.
This note describes how to handle the errors.
