After creating capture rules in a 11g database and producing input that should be retrieved by the redo collector, still the reports that are specific to the redo collector (eg: Before/After Values) are empty.
One particular case of this scenario is when one uses both DBAUD or OSAUD and REDO collectors. If modified AV reports would appear without the before/after data for the updated columns (one example is when adding the DATA TRACE VALUE column to the Activity Overview report or another, Data Trace Value being the "before/after values" column) - this can be very misleading. This is often mistaken for a situation when the redo collector works well, but fails to retrieve the before/after values. Nonetheless, in this scenario, the data is collected only by the DBAUD collector, which cannot capture the before/after values, while the redo collector doesn't collect anything.
