Symptoms


Using Database Gateway for ODBC 11.2 to connect to SQL Server.
After changing the Oracle Service to use a domain authenticated user instead of a local authenticated user, the following problem started:


SQL> CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK "PP2FN" CONNECT TO "SCANA\SAP_EBS_PS_CR" IDENTI FIED by "redacted" USING 'PP2FN';

Database link created.

SQL> select * from psacedim@pp2fn;
select * from psacedim@pp2fn
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user
'SCANA\SA_SQLTASK_PWRPLANT'. {28000,NativeErr = 18456}
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from PP2FN

Changes

Changed the Oracle Service to use a domain authenticated user instead of a local authenticated user.
