Symptoms


Using Database Gateway for ODBC 11.2 to connect to SQL Server.
After changing the Oracle Service to use a domain authenticated user instead of a local authenticated user, the following problem started:


SQL> CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK "LINK" CONNECT TO "xxx\yyy" IDENTI FIED by "password" USING 'LINK';

Database link created.

SQL> select * from psacedim@LINK;
select * from psacedim@LINK
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user
'xxx\yyy'. {28000,NativeErr = 18456}
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from LINK

Changes

Changed the Oracle Service to use a domain authenticated user instead of a local authenticated user.
