Symptoms
The 11.2 deinstallation tool fails with runtime errors when attempting to deinstall a gi_home (Standalone):
The <INV_LOC>/oraInventory/logs/deinstall_deconfig2011-10-06_07-25-46-AM.out, shows:

ERROR: Can't deconfigure Oracle Restart before removing or downgrading managed Oracle databases.

Note: Check the file /etc/oraInst.loc or /var/opt/oracle/oraInst.loc to determine the location of the OraInventory/logs directory
