Goal

This document is for understanding the log rotation and retention policy for the all the CRS and database logs in 11GR2 on-wards.It also covers the logs which are managed by CRS/Oracle by itself and the logs which needs to be managed by DBA.

From 12c on-wards the logs location changed and the rotation policy as well, please refer:12.1.0.2 Oracle Clusterware Diagnostic and Alert Log Moved to ADR (Doc ID 1915729.1)
