Snapmanager For Oracle Clone Process Haning On Sqlplus Command (Doc ID 1368731.1)

Symptoms

Try  to clone an Oracle database using NetApp SnapManager for Oracle,
 the process is hanging while trying to create controflile through  sqlplus.

strace against the shadow process of sqlplus session and system state dumps show

shadow process is  waiting for 'Disk file operations I/O'
and call stack from state dump is : nanosleep  kgodm_identify ....

strace of shadow process shows something like :

write(13, " [277831377] kgnfs_dump_hex_data"..., 68) = 68  <---- NFS file system function.
write(13, "\n", 1) = 1
lseek(13, 0, SEEK_CUR) = 5248199
write(13, "  0x7fff9b2fad28:  8000001c  191"..., 99) = 99
...........
write(13, "  0x7fff9b2fae68:  a0b02f9b  ff7"..., 39) = 39
write(13, "\n", 1) = 1
nanosleep({1, 0},  <--------------- put to sleep wait for I/O come back  ....
