Symptoms

Datapump Export (EXPDP) hangs immediately while using OCFS2 mount point:

Some important points to note:

  1. Traditional export works fine.
  2. Once the process is hung, kill -9 at OS level does not kill the process. The instance requires to be shut down to release the process.
  3. An export dump file of 4 kB gets generated.
  4. STOP_JOB.kill_job does not clear up the hung session.
