ORA-7445 [kslfre()] Errors On Creating Or Compiling Packages That Refer to Recursively-Dependent Views (Doc ID 1373821.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 07, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 10.2.0.5.0 to 11.2.0.3 [Release 10.2 to 11.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While attempting to create or compile a package based on a view, the session spins and then terminates with ORA-3113.

The alertlog shows a core dump error:
ORA-7445: exception encountered: core dump [kslfre()+307] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x7FBDFFFFF0] [] []

The stack trace will show similar to the following:

ksedst <- ksedmp <- ssexhd <- libc_sigaction <- kslfre <- ksfflt <- kglpnal <- kglpin <- kglgob <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp <- phavdp

(this same function 'phavdp' just repeats)
