Usage Flow For Versioning Semantic Models With Oracle Workspace Manager (Doc ID 1379496.1)

Last updated on APRIL 01, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Spatial and Graph - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The attached test script and corresponding session log shows in various situations how entailments can be handled in different workspaces.

There are certain known limitations:

1. Incremental inference is not currently supported for entailments involving version-enabled RDF models
2. Although an already created entailment can be made VALID by issuing CREATE_ENTAILMENT, a new entailment cannot be created once the application table corresponding to an RDF model has been version enabled.
3. The pattern argument for SEM_MATCH needs to use the old (non-curly-brace) syntax. This is shown in the attached test script.
4. The following option must be used in CREATE_ENTAILMENT invocation involving version-enabled model(s): 'EPT=1' (or options => 'USER_RULES=T,EPT=1', when user-def rules are used) . This too is illustrated in the attached test script.
