ORA-00600 [723] with leak at "control file i/" (Doc ID 1379577.1)

Symptoms

During session logoff, ORA-00600 [723] and memory leak in the Program Global Area (PGA) is detected and the same error message is printed in the alert log.

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [723], [120224], [2347320], [memory leak], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

where

Arg [a] - i.e 120224  is the  Logoff PGA size in bytes
Arg [b] - i.e 2347320 is the "memory leak"

The trace file generated during the time of the error shows the major of the leak is at the chunk "control file i/"
