Goal

How to generate a DataPump export dump file on the client where the DataPump export was started.

When you execute the following command the DataPump export dump will be generated on the database server side.

The local export client connects to the database instance defined by the connect identifier "<SQLNET_ALIAS_NAME>" (a net service name), retrieves data from the database instance being exported and writes it to the dump file client.dmp on the database sever side.

In some cases due to space problem is not possible to generate the DataPump dump file on the server side, it needs to be generated on the client where export was started.
