Symptoms


Attempting to install the 32-bit or 64-bit components on x64 with a 32 or 64-bit home already installed and the environment variable ORACLE_HOME set and pointing to the existing home fails with:

OUI-10037 UNABLE TO SETUP INVENTORY. You may not have proper permissions

Changes

Created a system environment variable that points to the first home installed.
