Symptoms


Select from an external table fails with:

 

 
The directory exists on dba_directories and the users have permissions to read, write...BUT it is a link created with mklink:

mklink /D D:\empty_link d:\meta_data

Bundle patch 10 for 11.2.0.2 was applied to fix bug 12640242 "11203_W2K8_ACFS:HIT KUP-04027 ERROR WHEN QUERY DATA FROM EXTERNAL TABLE ON ACFS" and DISABLE_DIRECTORY_LINK_CHECK parameter is used, but the issue is not solved.
