Symptoms


While installing 11.2.0.3 on a Unix system, an Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) window pops up with a message like this (but with your actual hostname):

<HostName>: <Hostname>


For example, if your system hostname is "XYZ123":

XYZ123: XYZ123


The following error message appears in the installActions.log file:

INFO: Setting value for the property:configcmds in the bean:configcmdmappings
SEVERE: [FATAL] XYZ123: XYZ123.
Refer associated stacktrace #oracle.install.commons.util.exception.DefaultErrorAdvisor:37
INFO: Advice is ABORT
SEVERE: Unconditional Exit
