XML Query using XMLELEMENT, XMLFOREST Fails with ORA-7445 [Kkscompileheapstats()+69] in (Doc ID 1401261.1)

After upgrading the database to, a query that uses the XML functions XMLELEMENT, XMLATTRIBUTES, XMLFOREST and XMLAGG now fails with the following error:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kksCompileHeapStats()+69] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x7FFF61191FF8] [PC:0x8A755AB] [Address not mapped to object] []

The stack trace in the trace file has the following function calls:
