AQ Notification Callback Procedure Fails To Read Data From Table when OLS policy is in place (Doc ID 1403474.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version to [Release 10.2 to 11.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Implemented Oracle Label Security (OLS) where a single policy is applied to multiple tables in a schema.

Required labels have been assigned to all users (including full, profile_access to schema users as required).

SQL executed on that table from an Advanced Queueing (AQ) callback procedure returns 0 rows despite the owner of the callback procedure having the correct OLS privileges to select the data. The same user can select the
data outwith the procedure.

Enabled OLS in an AQ setup which is using AQ PL/SQL Notification.
