Last updated on JULY 20, 2012

Applies to:

Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction Server - Version 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.3 [Release 11.1 to 11.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When an application calls a procedure that deletes from a parent table without deleting from the child table. Which is referred with deferred Foreign Key constraint to the parent. The application session is ether dropped or will continue without throwing the Foreign Key violation error:

ORA-02292 integrity constraint <str>.<name> violated - child record found

Tracing on the Oracle Database shows that the Ora-02292 is being sent to the application. However, the application never shows it to the user.
