Symptoms

Executing a call to UTL_HTTP.REQUEST and passing a URL fails with an ORA-29273 on the second invocation.


For Example:

Set serveroutput on
DECLARE
  req UTL_HTTP.req;
  resp UTL_HTTP.resp;
  value VARCHAR2 (32000);
BEGIN
  value := UTL_HTTP.request ('www.somehost.com/page');
  DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line ('OK1');

  value := UTL_HTTP.request ('www.somehost.com/page');
  DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line ('OK2');
END;
/
