Goal

This document gives a quick example of how to use the RMAN Block Recovery feature.  Block recovery can be used if the database is a 24/7 and cannot be shutdown.  This feature also allows for a quick way to check the database for any corrupt blocks.  RMAN backups are not needed to run the database validate check.
