Symptoms
When attempting to send alert notifications by email, MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM) generated the following error.
ERROR

E1507: SmtpSendFailedException: [Can't send command to SMTP host]
com.mysql.etools.exception.SmtpSendFailedException: E1507: SmtpSendFailedException: [Can't send command to SMTP host]
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Change the CA certificates of the email server
2. Attempt to send email via SSL
BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot receive email notification about system changes that may indicate issues in production.
