Symptoms

When trying to set a parameter such as service_names using alter system and specifying more than 128 bytes arguments, the below error occurred:

SQL> alter system set service_names="0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,q,w,e,r,t,y,u,i,o,p,a,s,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,z,x,c,v,b,n,m,37,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56" scope=memory;

alter system set service_names="0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,q,w,e,r,t,y,u,i,o,p,a,s,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,z,x,c,v,b,n,m,37,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56" scope=memory
