Memory Leak When Using Database Link to Copy a Table with Binary XMLType (Doc ID 1448321.1)

Symptoms

We have seen a memory leak while inserting data from table with XMLType column over DB_LINK.

SQL> desc LEAK_MEM_XMLTYPE

ID                                   NUMBER(9)
DOCXML                               SYS.XMLTYPE

SQL> INSERT INTO LEAK_MEM_XMLTYPE select * from LEAK_MEM_XMLTYPE@cofitmp;


We are seeing increase in session PGA/UGA memory with increase in number of inserted rows into a table with XMLType, for example 30,000 rows of small xml documents session PGA/UGA grows over 2 GB.
