Symptoms

DataPump import (IMPDP) fails with error:

ORA-39083: Object type INDEX_STATISTICS failed to create with error.

<Note 755253.1> was followed to rectify this. The import excluding indexes runs successfully.

The note says to run the impdp again with the include indexes after first excluding those. With the included indexes, this also generates errors and does not produce the results suggested by the note.

There are three errors types, two of them recur multiple times:

ORA-39083: Object type INDEX failed to create with error:
ORA-01408: such column list already indexed

- OR -

ORA-31684: Object type INDEX: already exists
ORA-39111: Dependent object type INDEX_STATISTICS skipped, base object type
