Upgrade of MySQL Enterprise Monitor Failed with Error "No Origin File Found That Matched" (Doc ID 1455991.1)

When attempting to upgrade MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM) service manager which uses a repository that is located on that same server as the MEM service manager,
but is not the default installation, the following error occurs.

"No origin file found that matched"

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install MEM service manager with a remote database option specifying the local server as the "remote" ip.
2. Upgrade to a new version using the standard upgrade binary.
3. Choosing the option for backup does not affect the outcome.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot easily upgrade to a new version.
