DBCA Errors with ORA-02249 When Creating Single-instance Database On Exadata

Symptoms
- When trying to create a single-instance database on one of the database nodes on Exadata system following error is reported by DBCA:
ORA-02249 - missing or invalid value for MAXLOGMEMBERS.
- A RAC database can be created successfully.
- Steps followed to create the single instance database are as follows:
1) Start DBCA
2) Select Create Single Instance DB
3) Select the dbmDatabaseTemplate
4) Provide the required values to create the database
5) database creation fails with ORA-02249 - missing or invalid value for MAXLOGMEMBERS
OR
1) Start DBCA
2) Select Create Single Instance DB
3) Select OLTP database, 2x2
4) Provide the required values to create the database
5) database creation fails with ORA-02249 - missing or invalid value for MAXLOGMEMBERS
