Information in this document applies to any platform.
Most often there are multiple instances and possibly multiple ORACLE_HOMES all running at same machine. With 11g there is only one Automatic Diagnostic repository per machine and all different ADR clients (different products) dump into same ADR. If you are investigating incident at specific instance this can cause confusion. Also not all ADRCI commands support multiple ADR_HOMEs and you will see:
