- query performs slowly on production while same query using the same plan, with essentially the same data runs much faster in a 'Test' environment.
- Most the time in the query is spent executing a large full table scan
- Tracing the execution of the query shows that the 'average blocks read' per call in the 'db file scattered read' waits are less and there are more 'db file sequential read' waits.
- The db_file_multiblock_read_count parameter is the same in both 'Test' and 'Production'.
Query is run in an active production environment.
