Symptoms


On : 11.2.0.x version, Database Assistant

When using a DBCA template you pick option of ASM for storage and save the template for future reuse. But after template is saved and used later, asm option defaults to the first option on the menu which is 'File System'.

Changes

You are trying to create a database based on a DBCA template that was build using ASM. When you use that template again, you notice that the storage option is no longer ASM, storage type always defaults to File System even though in the original template you have specified valid mounted asm disk groups.
