How To Resolve DataPump Export Errors ORA-39071 ORA-1756 Using TABLES Parameter (Doc ID 1466612.1)

Symptoms

This note helps you to resolve ORA-39071 ORA-1756 errors and complete DataPump export jobs.

1. The DataPump export can fail with the following errors:

ORA-39071: Value for TABLES is badly formed.
ORA-01756: quoted string not properly terminated

The parameter TABLES is correct.

The trace shows that there is a missing single quote in internal calls to DBMS_DATAPUMP.METADATA_FILTER:
