How to Handle ORA-600 [ktsircinfo_num1] (Doc ID 1468113.1)

The error ORA-600 [ktsircinfo_num1] appears when there is a problem obtaining row cache information correctly from sys.seg$. In most cases there is no information in sys.seg$. It may indicate a corruption or a bug, and results in immediate failure of action/process executed at that time.

The error has the general form ORA-600 [ktsircinfo_num1] [a] [b] [c], where:
Arg [a] tablespace number
Arg [b] file number
Arg [c] block number


The error may appear during a INDEX rebuild, CREATE table AS SELECT (CTAS), DROP, DELETE statements, when running PL/SQL code, packages, for both parallel or serial execution. It may be generated by heavy load, when operations on objects may remain incomplate generating data dictionary corruptions and inconsistencies between SGE$ and TAB$.

Call stack of the error may be similar to:

ktsircinfo1 ktsircinfo ktsagob ktsausp ktsapus

ktsircinfo1 ktsircinfo ktsixfl_num kkfdmtfl kkfddelupdups
