Applies to:Oracle Exadata Hardware - Version 220.127.116.11.1 to 18.104.22.168.1 [Release 11.2]
Oracle Exadata Storage Server Software - Version 22.214.171.124.1 to 126.96.36.199.1 [Release 11.2]
After flashdisk replacements, duplicate entries for flashdisks are still present after months. Duplicate entries has appeared in MS files after the replacement moment. They have never been cleaned after 7
days as expected.
There are duplicate entries for the same lun name "1_0". Status for one of them is normal but the other is not present. Those normally can be ignored when disks with status "not present". After a device
replacement, old entry is kept for another 7 days. This is known as expected behaviour.
The reason for unknown / not present state is that there are two entries for each phsyical disk. This is a known issue that has been fixed in 188.8.131.52. Old entries are kept for diagnostic purposes for 7-days.
Unpublished Bug 9251223 FLASH DISK STATUS IS 'UNKNOWN' WHEN THE DISK IS ACTUALLY PRESENT
After flashdisk replacement, duplicate entries are still kept after many months.
