ORA-600 [KGHFRH1] When Selecting from a XML Schema based Table with XML Data (Doc ID 1469690.1)

Symptoms

 

SQL> SELECT extract(o.data, '/order').getclobval() as node FROM orders o;

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kghfrh1], [0x000000000], [], [], []

SQL> select data FROM orders;
Errors in file :
OCI-21500: internal error code, arguments: [17147], [0x006783630], [], [], [], [], [], []

SQL> SELECT extract(data, '/order/header/orderHeader/UDFs/UDF[19]/value').getclobval() as node FROM ipcuser.orders;
*
ERROR:
ORA-00910: specified length too long for its datatype


Trying to export the problematic table data also fails with ORA-600 [17114] and ORA-600 [kghfrh:ds] errors:
