Symptoms

  1. The following errors are reported until the PMON process crashes with the same error:
    Exception [type: SIGSEGV, Address not mapped to object] [ADDR:0x14] [PC:0x9105B7D, kglobcl()+487]
    ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kglobcl()+487] [SIGSEGV][ADDR:0x14] [PC:0x9105B7D]
  2. Review of the generated tracefiles reveals a call stack similar to:
    ... <- kglobcl <- kglobfr <- kglobf0 <- kglhpd <- kghfrx <- kghfrunp <- kghfnd <- kghalo <- kghgex <- kghalf <- kksLoadChild <- kxsGetRuntimeLock <- kksfbc <- kkspsc0 <- kksParseCursor <- opiosq0 <- ...
