Information in this document applies to any platform.Purpose

Oracle Database Mobile Server makes use of Berkeley DB SQL version 5.2.36

You have decided to use the Berkeley DB Client and would like to define the BDB Environment prior to Client Synchronisation.

The correct and only supported way to do this is by using a DB_CONFIG file in your Client Environment, recompiling the DLL and using PRAGMA's and replacing these in the Mobile Server should work however we do not recommend this currently

This allows you to pre-set such things as the size of the Journals and Logs and the Cache size whcih can avoid memory issues during sync and avoid file size/restriction limitations on OS such as Windows Mobile

This covers all Berkeley DB Clients currently available in Oracle Database Mobile Server
