Unable To See XML DB Folders In SQLDeveloper For Some Databases (Doc ID 1474368.1)

Symptoms

Using SQL*Developer to view the folders within the XDB Repository and within SQL*Developer it will appear as though no folders exist even if they do exist.

This issue is only with some databases, most of the other databases will display the proper folders.

The following query is what SQL*Developer uses to retrieve available folders. It can be used as a test within SQL*Plus.


If the above query is run in SQL*Plus and "no rows selected" is returned, this means no data is found.
Since this is the same query that is used by SQL*Developer, if no data is found when run in SQL*Plus it makes sense that SQL*Developer doesn't display any data either.
