Symptoms

 When same processes try to close same device second time ,this could leads to this issue.

Initially ,could not close the device due below error ,

 

Errors in file <ORACLE_BASE>/diag/asm/+asm/+ASM1/trace/+ASM1_ora_26379.trc:
ORA-27045: unable to close the file
HPUX-ia64 Error: 9: Bad file number
Additional information: 3

 

later there was a hang due to DBWR which was holding ASM diskgroup mount on other node while we tried to closed the same device to release the hang by killing that process ,which inturn hit this ORA-00600
