When query to check the gv$session OR v$session, view to see whether session has failover capability, but we see a few sessions shows NONE for FAILOVER_TYPE and FAILOVER_METHOD column
Values of failover_type and failover_methed column of v$session are shown as NONE
SELECT FAILOVER_METHOD, FAILOVER_TYPE, FAILED_OVER FROM V$SESSION WHERE SID=(select sid from v$mystat where rownum=1) (FAILOVER_MODE=(TYPE=session)(METHOD=basic)) is correctly set in the network parameter files (tnsnames.ora) Failover is properly configured
