Symptoms

DDL produced by 11g DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL with VERSION specified for a subpartitioned table produces SQL that is invalid for 10g.

For example.
If version 10.2.0.2 is specified for DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL, the resulting SQL when run on a 10.2 database produces the following error:


Then run the output on 10.2 and it produces the error.
