Rman Archivelog Backup Hangs using 'DELETE ALL INPUT' (Doc ID 1495277.1)

Symptoms

RMAN backup hangs after backup of archivelogs and when deleting via 'delete all input'.

Debug trace shows a hang at different points when job is re-run.
