SYS.AUD$ SQLTEXT and SQLBIND Clob Column Truncating SQL and Bind Data At 4000 Bytes

(Doc ID 1495463.1)

Last updated on APRIL 09, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version to [Release 10.2 to 11.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When using extended auditing to record changes to column values variables and analyzing the AUD$.sqlbind clob column you will see that this information is truncated after 4000 bytes, so it is not possible to see the entire bind value if it is longer. The same happens with the SQLTEXT value.

You have setup extended auditing and are tracking changes to CLOB values.
