What causes ORA-01460 calling PL/SQL from OCCI with BLOB parameter?
Last updated on JULY 17, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 184.108.40.206 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When working with large files > 32k, an ORA-01460 is encountered with the sample application.
When passing a LOB as an IN parameter to a Stored Procedure with OCI usually a LobLocator is created,
populated with data, defined as a bind parameter and the statement executed.
With the OCCI API, temporary LOBs can not be created. Instead stmt->setBinaryStreamMode is used for the LOB parameter.
